What do UFOs, submarines and earthquakes mean in a dream?

The truth is out there
The truth is out there

Dream 369: Looking Up and Feeling Down
A young man had the following dream:

“I had a dream where the streets was in a massive uproar. Citizens were locking themselves in and some where fleeing the city. As I looked outside into the streets I’ve witnessed the military and police on every corner. As I began to look at the sky, I saw a large UFO hovering over the city. The citizens was advised to stay in. As my family run in for cover trying to protect ourselves I looked out the windows to witness several tornadoes destroying the city. After the disaster we ended up at a dock to board a huge submarine with thousands of people waiting to board this submarine. As people patiently wait for their names to get called to board. Some families were unfortunate and couldn’t board and was turned away to be left behind. As some started to board a massive earthquake begins and breaks the dock. We all fell into the water….as I’m swimming to attempt to save my sister I wake up!”

My Interpretation for him

Jung said that a UFO is a “Mandela of divine possibility.” I think he meant the dreamer had hope that there was some truth “out there” for him or her. The police and military being everywhere indicates superego issues which is to say that are you want to keep your behavior according to the law and rules of society.

An earthquake usually means that your world is being shaken up in a major way. The ocean is the best symbol we have of subconscious emotion. You literally are going to get on a submarine to safely investigate the subconscious.

The people that make it onto the submarine are safe, but they are few. In other words, your subconscious thinks that there’s some of you that wants to look at subconscious issues, but a lot of you is resting on the dock of the bay which can result in negative events. (Each person in the dream is a part of your mind). The implication is that you may wish to “get on board” with something like therapy.

So all in all, the dream is saying that you’re looking for the truth out there and are being advised by your subconscious to follow the rules and explore your subconscious emotion before your world is totally shaken up. This dream was taken as symbolic which may or may not apply to you.

At the end, trying to save your sister indicates that you are trying to save the emotions that are close to you since women usually represent emotions and she is in your family.

What do aliens and UFOs mean in a dream?

Aliens Can Be New Parts of Our Mind That Feel Strange

Dream 314: Like From Outer Space Man

A man dreamed that he looked out the window from his bedroom at night and saw flashing lights of different colors. When he went out to the door he was pulled up into the air by aliens. Dave called his body and the dreamer let them without resistance. He had the thought that he was being upgraded. He felt no pain. He returned to earth and went about his normal routine.

Interpretation

Colors are usually different emotions in dreams. That the dreamer was pulled into the air suggest that he was forced to go to a higher level and look at his emotions from a completely different perspective than what he was used to. The aliens are new unknown parts of himself.

The dream suggests that the way he was looking at his emotions now is different from the past. So different that in the beginning it felt alien; however, there were no real worries because his emotions were upgraded. It is likely that he was confronted with a very different and difficult emotional situation that was alien to him. His looking at the situation from a different and higher perspective allowed him to be emotionally upgraded so that he felt no pain.

Carl Jung thought that UFOs were a “mandela of divine possibility.” In other words, he thought it represented mankind’s hope that there was something out there, more than us, that was watching over us and interested in us. In many ways it represents the hope that there is more to life than what we see, which science has supported with the idea of dark matter. According to that theory, we see about 20% of the universe which is the part of the universe that are the effects of the dark matter. The truth is out there.
