What does the negative Queen represent in a dream?

Dream 437: The Evil Queen

I have had very vivid and odd dreams every night for the past month. Yet when I awake I usually only remember pieces. I was standing in front of my ex husband. We were talking as I began to think in my head about our split. Reminding myself of the monster he became…the reason I left. I used to have no voice when in his presence so I was reminding myself before I made eye contact.

I reached in my pocket though and pulled out a seemingly endless stack of large bills. He put his hands out and one by one I placed the bills in his Palm. It never ended. I remember thinking what about my needs. If I give it all I’ll have nothing. He never stopped me and I never spoke up.

I looked down and Instantly fell to my knees. I quickly place my hands out to catch This large Brown ribbed vase. I was unable to catch it in time. The glass broke shattering and slicing my right Index finger. I remember specifically the feel of glass shards across my fingers.

I looked up to see a woman I have not yet the chance to meet.  She had black curly hair old style framed glasses. She had a dark-tinted color to her, like not a normal color. She just stared blankly at me. It was creepy, almost like I felt I was in trouble.

I heard “Watch her–When she appears pay close attention to her.” Then I woke up. I’ve yet to understand this one. A lot of my dreams are about money or past lives, even god. I’m not sure why the oddities, but would greatly appreciate any Insight.

Interpretation

Money usually represents energy in dreams. He was a viper who took all your energy and never reciprocated.

The woman in your dreams is negative emotions. Jung called her the queen or the negative mother complex. She resides in everyone’s subconscious.

The queen is all about power and control. Her attitude toward you is capricious and arbitrary.

Her motto is “ask not what I can do for you–ask what you can do for me now.” She looks very strong, but will wilt unless the odds are overwhelmingly in her favor.

The savage masculine will aggravate and make her stronger. It sounds like you were married to a savage masculine man. The only part of the psyche that has any success against her is the heroic masculine–which usually involves being dedicated to taking positive actions that focus mainly, if not exclusively, on your needs and not making any excuses about it nor apologizing for looking after your needs.

I think the brown vase falling and cutting your finger right before the queen appears was done to emphasize that the queen is the emotional part of yourself that is hurting you. When glass is breaking in a dream, that usually means that the emotional impact of something is finally fully reaching you.  Her favorite putdown is “who do you think you are.”

I hope this is helpful.

What does my fat phony Queen like mother in law in a wheelchair in a dream mean?

tmp_6796-girl-smile-wheelchair1180110502

Dream 397: Time to Get Real

A woman dreamed that her 94 year old mother-in-law who is in a wheelchair suddenly got up and started walking around very fast to show the dreamer that she actually could move and walk very well. The mother in law in real life weighed 300 pounds and was morbidly and pathologically psychologically dependent upon her son. She had difficulty walking mainly because of her weight.

The dreamer thought she was a phony and that her mother-in-law knew that she knew her mother-in-law was being phony. The mother in law for some reason had been amazingly alert and coherent lately.

My Interpretation to the Dreamer

Taking the dream at different levels, your subconscious is saying both that she is phony and that you yourself have to be phony to be able to put up with her. At a deeper level, it may be trying to reassure you that you are fine, that you are physically and psychologically healthy, in spite of her antipathy towards you.

Her being very alert is interesting and something I can never explain. Both personally and in the lives of my clients, people who are on a long downward course health wise will often have a brief intense period of emotional/cognitive clarity and physical vitality before sinking into a clasped physical and mental disrepair and even death.

I thought this mother-in-law had characteristics of the Queen archetype that Carl Jung describes– domineering, controlling, selfish, egocentric, and wanting to dominate the household situation. The dreamer confirmed most of my insights.

Get Up and Go

Dream 248: Get Going

A 26-year-old woman dreamt that she was in a castle dungeon. She nevertheless felt she was in a school where the evil queen was trying to teach her lessons about life. The evil queen there somehow felt empathy toward the dreamer. Suddenly, her mother showed up and whisked her away.

She then found herself in a pond where a youngish male was teaching her. A girlfriend who swam in the Olympics was also in the pond. There was a model boat made of toothpicks and lily pads with beautiful flowers floating in the pond.

The dreamer saw herself plunge deep in the water. She somehow caused a huge wave. Her plunge ruined the frail boat and beautiful flowers.

She then saw a rebellious 14-year-old boy. He was running away. The dreamer ran after him to join him.

Dream 248–InterpretationThe Queen's Castle

She quit school after 8th grade. She never obtained a job. She lived at home. She was homebound and agoraphobic because of severe anxiety.

She is imprisoned in a castle because she imprisoned herself in her house because of severe social anxiety. She was easily disturbed by other people’s emotions.

The dream makes a point of saying she can easily leave her imprisonment. This is shown by her mother who is her mother introject suddenly and easily taking her away from her self-imposed dungeon. She is then taken to another school.

The teacher in the castle was a queen. The queen in dreams is usually aggressive and into wielding power. This queen archetype is a part of her that does not have the necessary “get up and go” or needed aggression to accomplish goals. This queen is ineffective and wastes time and energy feeling sorry for the dreamer rather than helping her accomplish goals. She does not have the emotional strength which the Queen can give to help her persevere to her goals.

Water is almost always emotion. The dream makes a point of saying that she is surrounded and engulfed by emotion. She had a rather young male teacher in her dream who is the heroic masculine who wanted to teach her effective actions she can take in life.

She made a start by trying to navigate her emotions (the frail small boat). She also was trying to do appreciate beauty in her life (the flowers in the water). The dream makes a point of showing her that she destroyed her recent efforts by plunging into emotion and creating disturbances.

The dream ends by presenting a relatively new action part of her psyche, the 14-year-old boy. This rebellious teenager has the get up and go and gumption to leave home. The dreamer agrees with this action by following him in the dream.
