What does a baby boy not being able to move and falling on your face mean in a dream?

Dream 401: Should I Make This New Move?

A woman had the following dream:

“I had a strange dream that I had put my infant baby on a bed all in white and so was the baby. Just the exact way they wrap them in a hospital, then a lady said to me your baby fell on the floor laying flat face, and I went that way to get him. How strange a infant can’t move wrapped that way, he was not crying either. So confused on this dream.”

My Interpretation

Clothing usually represents your psychological defenses. A baby boy usually represents a new action part of yourself. The dream seems to be implying there is a new action part yourself that is severely limited and bound with limited options. You may have tried to do something different and either have or have fear of “falling on your face.”

What does hair and a hole in your trousers or pants mean in a dream?

Annoying or embarrassing?

Annoying or embarrassing?

Dream 396: Could it be something related to Libido?

A man reported the following dream:

There’s a hole in my trouser leg with a ball of hair sticking out. I start to pull it out, but there’s no end to it. Must be 2 foot long eventually, and then I pull out a sock?! I’m wondering how all that hair and mess got in my trousers?!

Interpretation

Legs are what support us and get us where we need to go. Clothes are representative of psychological defenses. Clothes are what we show to the outside world.

If it were my dream, I would say that probably a hole in your support system so that you run into hairy situations when trying to advance yourself in life.

The thing that stands out is that the hair is in an unusual place, for a large amount of hair to be in trousers. We would not think that it would not impede motion as much as it would just be annoying.

The sock is something that we frequently lose when doing the wash–it was once part of a pair of socks. Hair is often associated with virility or sexual attraction as it is part of what we want to look good to partners.

I wonder if you have been annoyed by impediments to your progress in life caused by losing protection (a sock) in moving forward maybe because of the loss of a relationship (the sock is no longer paired)?

To go overboard even more, I wonder if you lost a relationship in the process of trying to express your libido/virility.

Don’t Turn Your Backs on Me

tmp_19251-images(2)961672836Dream 218: Don’t Turn Your Backs on Me

A 54-year-old woman dreamt that she was viewing a graduation class of all men from an auditorium seat. She was viewing this scene through the eyes of an aunt. All of the male graduates had their backs to her. There was one male graduate who was out of place because he wore casual and somewhat tacky clothing. She felt that the out-of-place graduate was like herself.

Dream 218—Interpretation

She recently started a job with a Wall Street brokerage. She was the trainer and supervisor of new stockbrokers who recently graduated from qualifying examinations. Almost all new trainees were men (or were very action-oriented women). She was older and felt out of place.

The male graduates in the dream mirror the circumstance of her training male graduates. That their backs were to her was a reflection of her feeling that they did not really listen to her. Her aunt was a stern businesswoman which she emulated at work. The out-of-place graduate was how the business action part of her psyche felt about the situation. The fact that he was out-of-place because of his clothing meant that she felt that psychological defenses (her clothing) were not sophisticated enough for the complex work situation she was in.
