Dream 387: Caught Between Two Lovers

A man had the following dream: “I dreamt a lot but there’s one particular part I can’t find an answer to. I saw a tarot card, beautiful card. It was of a queen wearing white sitting she had a crescent above her head, porcelain face, and by her side were these green cartoonish creatures that looked non threatening yet I’m sure they could if wronged or ordered to.

My Interpretation for Him

At first, I thought you were talking about the queen of swords in the Tarot deck. However, the imagery you described is closer to the two of swords. This part of the dream probably goes with emotions as women in dreams tend to represent an emotional part of your psyche.

The image in the Tarot deck in the two of swords is a woman completely dressed in white with a white blindfold who is holding two swords with her arms crossed across her chest. The thought is that she is stuck in the middle and can’t make a decision and is afraid to move or to choose one of the options. The crescent appears on this card as a new moon. The moon tends to go with the subconscious and it could mean that you have some dawning awareness or insight in your subconscious.

The thought would be that possibly you have to choose between two relationships and feel unable to choose because you are going to have to hurt someone in making the choice. The green creatures could be involved as they may represent money, or marijuana, or a condensation of both. It also could be having to choose between a relationship and money or marijuana.

As always, I am interpreting the dream totally blind and I’m presenting possible options.

My Created Family Died

drugs_kill_dreams_sticker

Dream 259: An eighteen-year-old male dreamed that he was in a house with a family. They all went upstairs to find the body of a dead young man underneath a bed. Everyone in the family was very upset.

Interpretation: He recently found out that his best friend moved away and no longer had contact with the dreamer because he was addicted to crack cocaine. The dreamer was close to his friend’s family who said they considered him to be part of the family. The subconscious treats the loss of a close friendship as equal to death.

The above is dream interpretation at the second or interpersonal level. The interpreter has to know what is going on in the dreamer’s life at this level. At the first level, each character in the dream represents a part of the dreamer’s psyche or mind. This is both usually more difficult and often more rewarding than the interpersonal level which is more surface circumstances than unconscious processes.

At the first level of dream interpretation, the family represented  the various parts of his mind that wanted membership in his best friend’s family. The young man’s dead body symbolized his hope that he would actually be a part of a created loving family was dead. He was very upset by his friend’s addiction. When, as in this case, both levels of dream interpretation are true, we say that dream condensation occurred.

Incidentally, alcohol decreases dreams and marijuana virtually eliminates dreams.

I am finishing my personal story and sojourn to health by putting MS into remission with the help of the universe/God. It will be my second book showing that dreams were an important part of that journey. My personal psychology enters into the picture a lot. I basically see years of physical abuse as laying the foundation for having the foundation for contracting the chronic illness of multiple sclerosis. Amazon will publish it first as an ebook. The name of the book will be something like MS Mission Remission: Healing Severe Chronic Multiple Sclerosis Against All Odds.

Dream 224: No Problem, Man

A 24-year-old woman had the image in a dream of a horse’s head with Jamaican Rastafarian curly and intricately braided hair.

Dream 224–Interpretation

Animals are instinct. Horses are renowned for having common sense, i.e. “horse sense.” Jamaicans are known for having ample supplies of marijuana. She insisted on using marijuana to relax. The dream was screaming that she needed to use her head about how much marijuana she used.

Virtually Everyone Dreams

13-Interesting-Facts-about-Dreams-piano2071084484People with extreme psychological disorder or serious physical illness/malfunction do not dream. Marijuana, and alcohol to a lesser extent, block dream memory. Otherwise, everyone dreams. They just forget that they had a dream. The problem is not that they are not having dreams, the problem is that they cannot access their memory to recall dreams.

Surprisingly, people who wake up several times during the night may actually have more dreams. This is because for the dream to be remembered, it has to be transferred from short-term memory to long-term memory. This transfer takes place best when you are awake. So as long as you go back to sleep, waking up lightly several times at night may actually help you remember dreams.
