In a dream I incubate about how another person feels, am I hearing what the person would say, or am I hearing my subconscious?

Dream Question 494:It is probable that energy is sometimes exchanged from one subconscious to another through the collective subconscious.

A man recently asked me the following question:

“Subject: Point of View in A Dream

Recently read ‘Dreams’. Loved it. So helpful! If I incubate a dream asking what someone else feels, how do I know if the dream is telling me how that person feels and not how I am feeling?”

Answer: It depends on whether you take the dream as being at the first level or the second level of or higher predictive or spiritual level of dream interpretation.  The first level considers each character and feeling in the dream to be part of the dreamer. The second level or interpersonal level of dream interpretation is the one people commonly use, where you assume that the person in the dream is that person in fact.

The first level tends to be more reliable. So I would take the first level as indicating what your subconscious thinks is likely to happen, that is, it is your thinking what is likely to happen that you are not aware of, it is subconscious.   It is complicated, but it is your subconscious feeling of how that person is likely to feel probably unless it involves more advanced levels of dream interpretation as well.

The second level is your interpersonal guess about what that person might say. And above and beyond all this, there are predictive dreams that we don’t really know where the prediction comes from, other than to say it comes from the collective subconscious. The collective subconscious is like an internet of the mind that contains every thought than any man has ever thought.

It’s possible that some information from the other person’s subconscious could influence the outcome as well. It is true, I believe, that we are connected in ways we do not understand. I believe that it is likely that we all feed into the same collective subconscious and receive some information from it. It’s possible that two of these levels, or all of these levels, could be true at the same time, in which case we call it condensation, as the dream tries to fit as much information into the smallest space possible.

What might the President and 911 appearing in a dream mean?

donald-trump-9-11-truther

Dream 469: I need to take charge of my life

A woman dreamed of an image of President Trump and the number 911 and wondered what it meant.

Interpretation

Each character in the dream represents a part of yourself. Men tend to go more with the action part of the mind. In this case, the President is the chief executive part of the ego. It is your conscious decision-maker.

Nine-one-one is an emergency number that calls for all hands to be on deck. Usually 9 goes with very significant change since three is the number of change and nine is 3 x 3 = 9.  Three is the number of change because it is the most unstable number of people to have in a relationship–something is going to change.  The double ones mean that the emphasis is on yourself (it doubles down on one which usually represents yourself). In total, it means that you need to take urgent action to help yourself.

911 is also when the United States was attacked and the towers went down, which caused massive changes politically.  What this dream would say to me is that you feel that you need to use all your executive powers to deal with an attack on your person.

The dreamer responded with “Wow, yes indeed.  I have had so many things hitting me left and right since I started my class.  I have been having a hard time going back to my focusing mode.  I keep saying to myself, “you must do it, shake it off, hurry, you can jump right back on.”  You’re amazing with your interpretation! Thank you so much. I needed this.

She noted that the dream may also apply to her family situation.  I explained as follows:

“The interpretation I gave you is from the first level. The second level is what’s happening with you interpersonally. Only you know enough to be able to see if it applies at that level.  When both levels are true, as in this case, we call it dream condensation.”

What does it mean when cats attack me in my dreams?

Avoid those who do not return your affection
Avoid those who do not return your affection

Dream 395: Looking for love in all the wrong places

A man had the following dream:

“I have trouble with cats in some dreams. At first I’m glad to see a cat, but sooner or later they claw in my arms or legs and they won’t let go. It’s painful and I want it to stop asap, feeling annoyed and threatened maybe. I don’t really know what to make of it.”

Interpretation

I think this dream is a combination or a condensation of the first two levels of dream interpretation which is as it involves yourself and as it involves you in interpersonal relationships.

To say it simply, you have hurt yourself by having affections for people who do not have affection for you. Pets usually represent your affections. They are probably women given the cat usually goes with women and female affections. In any case, the emphasis is on emotional affection and how you are being hurt by it.

The thought is that on the interpersonal level the people you are having affection for do not only not return the affection, but actively hurt you. It is interesting that the cats will not let go and continue to hurt you.

I believe this is saying that you persist in showing affection to people who do not return the affection, and these people continue to persist in wanting to hurt you. You continue to show affection to people who are not only not neutral, but are hazardous to your welfare.

  1. This is not given in a professional sense but in an investigative / interest way and should not be relied upon to run your life.

The Joy of the Divine Child

Our Hopes and Dreams
Our Hopes and Dreams

Dream 286: A Woman in her twenties had a recurrent dream that she woke up in a room with a man sleeping next to her. A noise caught her attention. She leaned over the man to see a little girl playing on the floor.

She woke the man up who picked up the little girl. The little girl had been playing with books. She looked at her book while sitting on the man’s lap. The little girl was a beautiful child that had hair so soft the dreamer could not resist touching her hair.

The dreamer asked the man who the beautiful little girl was. He had an amazing smile on his face as he said to the dreamer that the little girl was hers. As he handed the toddler to the dreamer, the child wrapped her arms around the dreamer’s neck.

The dreamer then felt that she knew exactly who the little girl was. She knew now with conviction that the little girl was hers. She felt joyously elated.

Interpretation

The dreamer was visited by her Divine Child archetype. The Divine Child is usually a little girl often with blonde hair and blue eyes (not necessarily) between the ages of 3 and 10 years old. She represented the dreamer’s hopes and dreams for the future.

At the first level of dream interpretation, each character in a dream represents part of the dreamer’s mind. Men typically go with actions; women usually go more with emotions. This is not absolutely so, but it is usually the case.

Thus, the man in the dream and the child together represent her mature actions energized by her hopes and dreams, the Divine Child archetype. The thought is that she recently decided on actions that will further her hopes and dreams. The inclusion of books suggest a thoughtful, intelligent or academic decision might be part of the scenario. The dreamer is to be congratulated.

Only the dreamer knows enough of the details of her life to be able to apply this interpretation to her interpersonal life. The man in the dream is significant in a positive way. He is the heroic masculine archetype. His appearance is often good news because it means the dreamer is ready to take positive action in life. His motto is “to serve and protect.”

It is no wonder that this dream made the dreamer feel joyous. Usually a dreamer at this stage begins to know what they want and are ready to take steps to actualize their life. The fact that this was a recurrent dream means that this dream is a “big dream.”

Recurrent dreams are big dreams that mean more than other dreams. That is because the dream is addressing repetitive issues in the dreamer’s life. Recurrent dreams make repeated attempts to get the message to the dreamer until the dreamer “gets it.”
