What might a starving cat in a vegetarian’s dream mean?

Dream 457: More ways than one to feed a starving cat

A woman had the following dream:

“I keep having a reoccuring dream of my dog.  She is a small dog.  I wake up and she is on my front step.  There is a tub with hundreds of baby chickens. She is eating them and I hear their bones crunching.  It’s scary for me because I’m vegeterian.

Interpretation

Each person or animal in a dream is part of the dreamer’s mind at the first level of interpretation.  Animals usually represent the dreamer’s instincts. In this case, it seems the cat represents some part of her instinct too survive.

Household pets usually represents the person’s affections or preferences because of the good feelings we have about pets.  Cats usually are associated more with feminine energy because they are independent, sensuous and intelligent.  I think this cat is announcing what you need to eat to survive.

Her subconscious is dramatically screaming that she needs protein. She does not have to totally give up being a vegetarian, but she should consider doing “social chicken.” After all, 89% of vegetarians go back to eating meat. Especially as you get older, you typically need the protein.

Dreams usually indicate that you can’t always get what you want, but if you try real hard, you get what you need at http://www.drstevenfox.com

Over the Top

losing weightDream 276: Pushing through the Weight Barrier

A 42-year-old man dreamed that he was climbing a ladder to the top of his high school. He knew there was an airport on top of the building. As he was climbing up the ladder he looked up and saw a morbidly obese woman near the top of the ladder.
She was ready to go on the roof, but she had to make her way through a narrow tunnel to get to the airport on the top of the high school building. She was able to get through the tunnel only because the dreamer helped her by pushing her through. He felt overjoyed as he headed for the airplane.

Interpretation
The dreamer recently was on a diet. He was frustrated because he always came to a plateau after losing fifteen pounds when his goal was to lose fifty. Dreams like to use high school as a place where the higher self of a person is schooled. He was emotionally learning how to carry out his goal of losing weight.
Climbing a ladder can be a metaphor for accomplishing a goal as one is literally “climbing to the top.” Each character is a part of the dreamer’s own psyche with women being associated with emotions, and men being correlated with action parts of the mind. His emotions about losing weight (the morbidly obese woman) were the main barrier he had to push through to “go over the top” and accomplish his goal.
Flight is almost always related to spiritual or higher level goals. His learning how to push his emotions through so that he could lose weight was very satisfying. He felt more confidence in his appearance and in his ability to reach personal aspirations.

Coming In 2016

images(28)-717928842I plan to release a book in 2016 regarding alternative and some conventional methods of dealing with chronic illness so that it goes into remission.

Reike, prayer, exercise, angels, medical aides, the Tao Te Ching, Buddhism, Tai Chi, saints, meditation, physical therapy, Tarot cards, the violet flame of St. Germain, light work, Jungian dream interpretation, psychic guidelines, diet, and the philosophy to considering medications, and relationships will be some of the topics covered.

With a chronic illness, by the time you contract the disease, you are so far behind in the struggle that you have to throw everything at the illness that you possibly can. This will include both Eastern and Western approaches. Dreams were an important part of the multi-modal treatment approach I used.

The book explaining the principles I use to interpret dreams is at drstevenfox.com
