In a dream I incubate about how another person feels, am I hearing what the person would say, or am I hearing my subconscious?

Dream Question 494:It is probable that energy is sometimes exchanged from one subconscious to another through the collective subconscious.

A man recently asked me the following question:

“Subject: Point of View in A Dream

Recently read ‘Dreams’. Loved it. So helpful! If I incubate a dream asking what someone else feels, how do I know if the dream is telling me how that person feels and not how I am feeling?”

Answer: It depends on whether you take the dream as being at the first level or the second level of or higher predictive or spiritual level of dream interpretation.  The first level considers each character and feeling in the dream to be part of the dreamer. The second level or interpersonal level of dream interpretation is the one people commonly use, where you assume that the person in the dream is that person in fact.

The first level tends to be more reliable. So I would take the first level as indicating what your subconscious thinks is likely to happen, that is, it is your thinking what is likely to happen that you are not aware of, it is subconscious.   It is complicated, but it is your subconscious feeling of how that person is likely to feel probably unless it involves more advanced levels of dream interpretation as well.

The second level is your interpersonal guess about what that person might say. And above and beyond all this, there are predictive dreams that we don’t really know where the prediction comes from, other than to say it comes from the collective subconscious. The collective subconscious is like an internet of the mind that contains every thought than any man has ever thought.

It’s possible that some information from the other person’s subconscious could influence the outcome as well. It is true, I believe, that we are connected in ways we do not understand. I believe that it is likely that we all feed into the same collective subconscious and receive some information from it. It’s possible that two of these levels, or all of these levels, could be true at the same time, in which case we call it condensation, as the dream tries to fit as much information into the smallest space possible.

What do guns, shooting and robbery mean in a dream?

Dream 427: Violence Begets Violenceimages (2)

A woman reported the following dream:

“I had a dream about a friend involving a robbery and gun shots were fired towards her and I. When I later talked to her about it, she said 2 other friends had dreams of her either as the one doing the shooting or was being shot at. What do guns in dreams mean? Also, it’s so weird how several people had similar themed dreams about one person. Any ideas? Shes kinda freaked out by it. Some insights would be much appreciated!”

Interpretation

Guns usually are associated with aggression or confrontation. Freud thought of it as a classic phallic symbol so it is associated with being Macho–rough and tough and not taking anything from anyone.

With your friend, I wonder if she tends to be confrontation or aggressively assertive to the point that she inspires retaliation and/or bursts of emotions from others. The thought would be that she is subject to confrontations/burst of emotions which she points at others and is reciprocated by others.

If we look at just your dream, shots are being fired at you. You are not instigating any gunplay in the dream you had. The focus of your dream would seem to be other people’s explosive reactions to you at times for no clear reason. In your dream, the robbery would maybe indicate some worry about being personally violated.

The collective unconscious means that we are all connected subconsciously with one another. When she has several friends dreaming about guns with her involved, I would take it that the collective subconscious is trying to get the message to her by whatever means possible that she needs to be protective of herself and assertive / aggressive / confrontative in a different kind of way so that she or others do not get hurt either emotionally or physically.

What is the collective unconscious (subconscious) in dreams?

Dream Image 414: The collective unconscious or collective subconscious is the same thing as the Akashic records. I believe every thought that man has ever had is in the collective subconscious. This idea is virtually the same as the idea of Akashic records which are described in the poster above. It seems like there is a sort of consciousness internet if you will that transmits images to people’s dreams.

What is the collective unconscious and how does it relate to the law of attraction?

The Law of Attraction and the Collective Unconscious (Subconscious) Collide
The Law of Attraction and the Collective Unconscious (Subconscious) Collide

Dream 374: The Law of Attraction and the Collective Unconscious Refer to the Same Thing

The collective unconscious according to Dr. Carl Jung was a sort of a master subconscious. The idea was that we each have our own individual subconscious which feeds into an overriding mass master subconscious composed of all human consciousness. That is, the collective unconscious is composed of every thought ever thought by any human in all of time.

When you put out a thought or idea into the universe, similar thoughts or energies will gravitate towards it. We do not know by what mechanism or dimension this occurs, but I believe one day the science will find out how this is happening . Just because we can not explain it now does not mean that it does not exist.

I believe once the ideas gather sufficient weight in numbers of human consciousness, they are then manifested in reality. This explains why the Law of Attraction works. This puts a great deal of responsibility on all of us in the sense that every thought that any person ever had entered the collective unconscious.

Meditating is not strictly a passive activity because the thoughts generated could affect the collective subconscious. Buddhists have known for millennia that meditation can change the world.

Any thought can potentially affect the world. When you meditate, it is not just a passive activity, you are actively influencing the collective subconscious of people everywhere. Using this frame of reference, dreams, dream images, and dream ideas may sometimes be the collective unconscious communicating with you through dreams.

What is sleep paralysis and why does it occur?

It's All Happening Here Now
It’s All Happening Here Now

The following is the video describing sleep paralysis:

https://m.facebook.com/video_redirect/?src=https%3A%2F%2Fscontent-lax.xx.fbcdnr.net%2Fhvideo-xpa1%2Fv%2Ft42.1790-2%2F10929479_10152637552713869_705223861_n.mp4%3Fefg%3DeyJxZpnJvbWhkNDI2XzA0MTMiLCJybHIiOjMwNywicmxhIjoxOTIyfQ%253D%253D%26oh%3De4654ab6c79eb6f4a50913ffecc746d0%26oe%3D554BD26B&source=misc&id=10152637551633869&refid=52&ref=m_notif&notif_t=like_tagged&__tn__=F

Discussion 347: Elaboration on possible related sleep paralysis phenomena

Theoretical physicists can prove that there are at least 10 dimensions plus time. We experience only three of them. It is possible we are being visited by beings from other dimensions.

How much any such beings can actually influence this dimension is subject to question. There appears to be definite limits as it is rare to hear of someone actually being hurt. Personally, I am a skeptical believer, thinking that one day science will find the truth.

It is amazing the experiences people report having. Bill Monroe started the Monroe Institute because he spontaneously started traveling outside of his body in an astral projection sort of way. He was a very conservative IBM type who was not prone to this type of experience. It makes for very interesting reading.

The US Army believes in related phenomena much more than they let on as they tried to locate crashed planes sometimes by getting a group of remote viewers and seeing if they can find the places of greatest agreement. They say this is not psychic, but something that can be taught to anyone. I’ve been told that it is somehow like the collective unconscious.

All of this is speculative as we are years away from discovering the true meaning of it all. And strangely enough, I think technology will eventually elaborate on the strange experiences that people have experienced and will find that it’s not uncommon and that it can be induced. The problem is we have only limited and hit-or-miss ways of doing so now.

Appearance of the Sacred Heroic Masculine

tmp_19585-White Knight-1399391585 To Serve and Protect

Dream 288
A man in his forties dreamed repeatedly that he was visited by a white robed faceless spirit. This spirited man gave the dreamer all elements of a knights armor. He was given a knights helmet, breastplate, body armor, sword, etc.

This was a recurring dream where he found himself fighting evil night after night in his protective knights armor. He felt powerful and strong. He felt the dream was spiritually significant.

Interpretation
At the first level of dream interpretation, each character in the dream represents a part of the dreamer’s mind or psyche. Men are usually associated more with action parts of the mind. Women usually represent more emotional parts of the psyche.

Repetitive or recurrent dreams are almost always big dreams as Carl Jung believed that some dreams meant more than others. This was especially likely to be the case with recurrent dreams. Usually, the recurrent dream is returning to a repeated theme to continue to try to resolve a repetitive problem.

This dreamer was visited by his own spirit of the heroic masculine. The heroic masculine is the most positive aspect of masculinity. It is a major archetype ingrained in the collective subconscious of mankind.

The heroic masculine motto is “to serve and protect.” This is a very spiritual dream. White is the most spiritual color.

The fact that the heroic masculine was faceless and the evil he was fighting was vague indicated that there are many aspects of himself that he is not familiar with. The dream was recurring over the course of a month as his subconscious wanted him to get to know both the positive and shadow parts of his subconscious. The dream used knights armor to emphasize that chivalry of the heroic masculine. The dream use the armor to emphasize that it was mainly about how he protected himself so that he could protect and help others.

This dream was saying that he would be protected when he uses his heroic masculine to protect himself and others from evil. This dream was saying that the dreamer had developed the positive aspects of masculinity to the point where he was a spiritual warrior. The appearance of this strong of a form of the heroic masculine indicates that he was ready to take major positive action for himself and loved ones.

But Mom…I Feel a Movement in the Force

13.-yoda-2_big

Dream 264: An eight year old boy dreamt that Yoda, the wise little old man alien Buddha philosopher from the movie Star Wars, was throwing all personal care items, like soap, toothpaste shampoo, etc., from the top of his mother’s bureau onto her bedroom floor.
Interpretation: He objected strenuously to his mother insisting that he regularly brush his teeth, wash his hands, comb his hair, take showers, etc. He was using a very creative version of the archetype of the wise old man to deliver a message. An archetype is a pattern of thought handed down through the generations by human consciousness.
Archetypes are propelled in culture and can be up to twenty to forty percent of the dream’s content. Jung thought we each had a personal subconscious which was connected to an overriding collective unconscious. This collective unconscious was created by culture and sustained and passed on by human consciousness.
Children most often have dreams of desire or want which are dreams of the way they wished life actually was. This creative child had the desire that wise Yoda would talk some sense to his mother. Moreover, the wise Yoda should cast away the personal care items so that his mother could finally see that her son’s protests about maintaining personal hygiene were correct.
The wisdom of the universe was dramatically expressing the child’s wish that he be freed from brushing, washing and cleaning. His dream desired that his mother finally see the prudence of his cleanliness protests. In his dreams, he felt that he did not need no stinking toothbrush. Further, he had Luke Skywalker’s advisor prove his point of view.

The Frog Prince

Dream 249: From Frog to Prince

A 21-year-old man dreamt that he was going from one friend’s house (this friend was a nerd) to another friend’s house (this friend was a Prince of a man). Right before he reached the Prince’s house, he saw a multitude of frogs riding bicycles. Each frog had its own bicycle. As each frog passed by, it waved to him. He was taken by how strange the scene was.

Dream 249–Interpretation

The dreamer was doing poorly in college because of a lack of effort. He recently had rededicated himself to doing his best at school. A house can represent the dreamer because it is the framework out of which one lives. The dream is emphasizing his change from an irresponsible nerd to a responsible princely person.

Bicycles are one way of getting somewhere in life particularly in a localized area. You ride a bicycle with your own efforts using a good balance and judgment. The dream was urging him to be independent and self-reliant.

Followers of Carl Jung see fairy tales as containing cultural and collective unconscious meaning that can live in any dreamer in a culture. The frog who turns into a prince is a classic motif in fairy tales. The dream was using this widely disseminated cultural image to encourage the dreamer to change. The fact that there are many frogs indicated that his dreams believed that he had enough animal instinct for the required transformation.

This dream was interpreted using principles from the book Dreams: Guide to the Soul at http://www.drstevenfox.com
