Dream 401: Should I Make This New Move?

A woman had the following dream:

“I had a strange dream that I had put my infant baby on a bed all in white and so was the baby. Just the exact way they wrap them in a hospital, then a lady said to me your baby fell on the floor laying flat face, and I went that way to get him. How strange a infant can’t move wrapped that way, he was not crying either. So confused on this dream.”

My Interpretation

Clothing usually represents your psychological defenses. A baby boy usually represents a new action part of yourself. The dream seems to be implying there is a new action part yourself that is severely limited and bound with limited options. You may have tried to do something different and either have or have fear of “falling on your face.”

What does your house falling apart while you’re taking a shower while there is a parade outside being broadcast on television mean?

Dream 354: Cleaning Up My Life in Public

A thirty-something man dreamed: “One of the worst recurring dream comes of house repairs. I live in a house over 30 years old and parts of it are falling apart. I’m in the shower and the tub collapses to the ground. It’s raining outside. I jump up trying to reach the towel but no luck. To make matters worse, there’s a parade going on live television. It’s my neighborhood. Obviously, the house needs some repairs, but what else does it mean?”

Interpretation
In a dream a house can represent the dreamer because it is a framework out of which you live. The house is over 30 years old. I suspect you are over 30 years old.

The fact that this is a recurring dream is an indication that it is what Carl Jung called a “big dream.” It is recurring because it is a repetitive or perennial conflict that you have run into before repeatedly. Your subconscious cannot come up with a better way of protraying it, so it keeps throwing up the same message.

Taking a shower in a dream symbolically means that you are literally trying to clean up your life. The dream is saying that the “bottom is falling out” of that effort. Rain in a dream can often go with depression.

There’s a parade going on in the dream. There are several interesting things about this. The dream could be saying that you are “missing the parade.” Also not having clothes on in the dream because you are taking a shower and not having clothes usually means feeling exposed and vulnerable.

The fact that it’s on live TV could be emphasizing feeling publicly revealed. On the one hand he wants to clean up his life. On the other hand, he has the feeling that “You don’t have to broadcast it!”

Dream 271: The Orbs Predict Jobs

Dream 271: Orbs and Ghosts

A twenty-something woman had the following dream: “The other day I had a dream about ghosts in my room, it opened my bedroom door and opened all my dresser drawers and started throwing out all its contents. Then awhile later in my dream, I was in a cabin like house with my mom and I saw 3 orbs, like silver lights, dancing all around the room. I kept saying “mom look! Mom look!” I didn’t know if she could see them. Then suddenly they were coming at me, and as soon as they were up to my face they turned into bubbles that were thick enough to touch without popping. The other integer thing I remember is having an abundance of jobs coming up in my near future. Just thought it was a pretty cool dream to have.”

Interpretation: Clothes usually represent your defenses. The ghost literally represents your spirit. By throwing the clothes on the floor your spirit is urging you to be less defensive. Orbs and circles are usually representatives of the soul and I would have no problem with seeing them as guides.

Houses or cabins can represent the dreamer because they are frameworks out of which you live. The number three is significant because it is the number of change. Three people in a relationship tends to be unstable, and things are going to change. So the dream is predicting personal change.

It is interesting that I think this dream is partly symbolic and partly predictive. Bubbles are made of water and water is emotion almost always. That they do not burst is a good sign because I think the dream is predicting job opportunities for you in the sense that ” your bubble will not be burst.” The ghosts are probably more defensive spirits or attitudes from the past that need to be thrown out. The orbs are likely to be new possibilities she is facing. The orbs are a good omen.
