What could an unfinished bridge and a possessed person mean in a dream?

sunshine-skyway-bridge-19269717Dream 430: Take Care of Yourself

A woman had the following dream:

“Horrible dream–I just woke up. It is 3am.

I am driving a car and all of a sudden I have to break on a bridge because the road is being worked on (road is only rebar) I have to turn my car in a very small space. Then I found myself in a room with another person. The room is dark with what only seems a small fire lighting it up. I tell someone this person is possessed and the person they are possessed with is obsessed with me. I call them over (in a very demanding voice) the possessed person runs over and tries to hug me and I end up waking up every time. I have woken up twice now. Scared to go back to sleep.”

Interpretation

In dreams, bridges are major emotional passage points in our lives since water virtually always represents emotions in dreams.

Each living thing or force that appears in a dream is a part of the dreamer’s mind. Unknown people in a dream are parts of yourself that you do not know.

I think the dream is saying that you have been making a major emotional transition now that is not constructed, but is being built. Cars in dreams are usually about making progress in Modern life.

There is a part of you that you need to embrace. It seems that it is a part that is totally focused on you, that is “possessed” with looking out for your own welfare.

I suspect that you are very devoted to people you love. This dream mainly wants to help you complete this passage by paying some attention to your own needs to avoid burnout.

What could driving from the backseat of a car mean in a dream?

Dream 425: What does driving your car from the back seat mean in a dream?

A woman dreamed that you was trying to drive her car from the back seat. She wondered what this meant.

Interpretation

The question I would have for her is the following:

“Are you being a “backseat driver” in some areas of your life rather than fully owning it by taking the driver’s seat and boldly and openly taking responsibility of being the driver and steering your life where you want and need to go?”

It would seem that her subconscious might be saying that she needs to be more directly involved in guiding her own life rather than trying to direct it by being once removed into the backseat. I think her subconscious might be trying to move her to a better place in life where she can more directly guide it without being hampered.

She may want to move towards a perspective where she can put the brakes on her life and/or hit the gas when she needs to. When I think of it, driving from the back seat could be dangerous. I mean one cannot protect yourself either by wearing a seatbelt and airbags would do less good or no good when being in the disadvantageous position of a backseat driver.

This is said without knowing what the issues are, and I would expect future dreams to provide more information about what is happening and what issues need to be more directly addressed.

Dreams can help with control issues. “My book, Dreams: Guide to the Soul” is available at http://www.drstevenfox.com

What does money mean in dreams?

Benjamins of Energy
Benjamins of Energy

Dream Question 296: Money in dreams is usually personal energy. Dreams often use money as a summary symbol of how much physical, emotional, social, political, financial, spiritual and subconscious energy the dreamer has in a given situation. Money commonly signals the amount of personal wherewithal the dreamer can now bring to bear on a problematic situation in the dreamer’s life.

There are, of course, other indicators of the dreamer’s personal energy level. Large land animals such as elephants or vigorous sea creatures such as whales or sharks indicate that the energy level of the dreamer is high. The type of animal describes the energy involved. For example, sharks and scorpions are typically aggressive energy, while horses many times go with relationship or sexual power.

A frequent modern-day symbol for energy involves gas stations. Cars in dreams are typically how you get somewhere in life symbolically in a dream. Getting fuel at a gas station generally indicates that it would be helpful for the dreamer to bring energy from outside of themselves into his or her life to get where they want to go.

Dreams like to use symbols that will get the dreamer’s attention. Money is an important and essential part of modern life that will seldom escape notice. Money is a particularly salient symbol in many situations that can be used as shorthand for the amount of personal resources the dreamer now has.

Money is almost certain to capture the dreamer’s attention. And you can take that to the bank. Ka-ching!
