What is the Divine Child archetype in dreams?

Dream 367: Giving the Divine Child archetype some spiritual courage
A young man had the following dream in his own words:

“I was walking beside a girl in a part of my dream last night. She was very sweet. As we were walking into a building I felt a presence behind her.

I looked back and there was a woman dressed in dark holding a gun to her.

I put my hand on the spine of the girl I was beside and humbly whispered ‘in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.’

Nothing more

Nothing less

And in that moment a light flashed over the girl with the gun and she put it down and said in a similar tone as mine when I spoke. She said ‘thank you.’

I smirked at her in a loving but strong way and walked the girl into the building she was going into.”

Interpretation

Assuming that the girl was a child, it was probably the Divine Child archetype. The Divine Child carries all our hopes, dreams and wishes for the future, like Jesus Christ did. It often is a blue-eyed blonde-haired little girl between the ages of 3 and 11. It can be other physical features, but these are the most frequent in our culture.

The girl as a Divine Child archetype would represent positive emotions and hoped for plans for the future. Women usually represent an emotional part of the dreamer. A woman with a gun is shadow aggressive/negative emotions.

The dreamer put his hand on her spine and say something very spiritual. The dream is saying that strong spirituality helps him stand up to negative emotions, it helps him have more spine.

The dreamer in the dream is acting as the heroic masculine which is usually the part of the personality that is involved in healing. It takes the action necessary to heal the person or make them better. In this case, the heroic masculine is lending his strength to Divine Child emotionality so that his plans can be actualized and come into reality.

When the Heroic Masculine lends it’s strength in performing healing action to the Divine Child, the Self can only say “thank you” that Shadow emotions were overcome and vanquished.

I am finishing my personal story and sojourn to health by putting MS into remission with the help of the universe/God. It will be my second book showing that dreams were an important part of that journey. My personal psychology enters into the picture a lot. I basically see years of physical abuse as laying the foundation for having the foundation for contracting the chronic illness of multiple sclerosis. Amazon will publish it first as an ebook. The name of the book will be something like MS Mission Remission: Healing Severe Chronic Multiple Sclerosis Against All Odds.

Falling Down

Dream 209: Falling Down on the Jobgrand-canyon-skywalk-2-1024x680 (1)

A 22-year-old woman dreamt that she was at the Grand Canyon. Her grandparents were also there. Her brother, who was only a year older, fell to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and died. She was emotionally close to her brother.

Dream 209 Interpretation

Her brother represented an action part of her psyche because men usually go with the dreamer’s actions. The dream was pointing out what her major “downfall” was. She confirmed my assumption that it was her paternal grandparents at the Grand Canyon. I would have been surprised if she said it was her maternal grandparents since women are usually identified with emotional parts of the mind.

She was having problems with the action part of herself as she was having difficulty teaching high school. It was her paternal grandparents because things associated with father typically involve the dreamer’s actions. A father’s role with children traditionally includes encouraging their actions in the world.

It follows that the conflict and trouble she was describing at work would most likely be affected by her father’s introjects. Her father introjects were best represented by the paternal grandfather and paternal grandmother. As such, her troubles with teaching would probably best be helped by working with her father introject.

Let a Fool Help Drive Your Life

170525476Dream 200: Let a Fool Help Drive Your Life

A 44-year-old professional and serious woman dreamt that she stopped at a house to check up on her father. When she got back into the car at night, there was a baby boy crawling in the street that she narrowly missed. Then her carefree and happy-go-lucky brother ran along the car. He suddenly jumped into her lap. She and he shared the driving as she was in the driver’s seat always.

Dream 200 Interpretation

This woman was serious to the point of almost being grim sometimes. A house can represent the dreamer somewhat, especially if there is a family member there. A car is how one gets somewhere in life. She essentially checks up on her father introject, usually a major driver of the person’s actions. This dream essentially reviews action parts of her psyche to make a recommendation (since the three other characters are male).

The baby boy was a new action part of her psyche which had not been integrated and was in danger of almost becoming psychological road kill. The brother that jumped onto her lap was a significant recommendation by the dream. He essentially “plays the fool” and embodies the fool archetype. The dream is recommending that she integrate more fun as a major driver in her life to get to where she wants to go.

Don’t Be a Hero

Dream 199: Might as Well Face It You’re Addicted to Love

Heroine on Heroin
Heroine on Heroin

A 24-year-old male dreamt that he was giving his brother shots of heroin in the leg to prevent his brother from having extreme withdrawal symptoms.

Dream 198 Interpretation

I aked him whether he was having trouble with a girlfriend. He indicated that he recently broke up with a woman who was having addiction to drug problems. The fact that the way many people pronounce heroin as “heroine” was a major clue. You are entering the world of fantastic ideation in dreams where clang associations and extreme concreteness paradoxically exist in the same space as spiritual desires.

I asked him what his brother’s personality was like. His brother was the embodiment of the heroic masculine archetype, always helping and protecting those he loved. The dreamer’s desire was to save the beautiful now ex-girlfriend. The dream, like most dreams, is perfect in the sense that while the girlfriend was addicted to drugs, the dreamer was addicted to the girlfriend.

He literally went through withdrawal breaking up with the girlfriend as he was focused on saving her. It is notable that the sound of the word heroin (heroine) clued this dream interpreter in to the idea that the heroic masculine was probably involved. In the dream he is literally trying to spare his own heroic masculine from experiencing withdrawal symptoms from the dreamer’s addiction to the drug addicted girlfriend. Legs in a dream involve the issue of support as legs support us physically. The dream was urging him to withdraw his support from the substance plagued girlfriend.
